Ruth L. Campton

Ruth Lenora (Lamon) Campton, age 94 of Knightstown, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Country Home Manor in Charlottesville. Ruth was born June 9, 1922 the daughter of the late Chester and Martha (Riley) Lamon. Ruth was a cook for Head Start of Knightstown for sixteen years. She was an avid antique collector who loved her grandchildren and family. Ruth was a member of the Greensboro Nazarene Church. Survivors include her sons Joseph (Linda) Campton of Greenfield, David (Linda) Campton of Shirley; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her husband Ora Campton, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters. A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 12 P.M. at the condo and Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Pastor Randy Badgley officiation. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.
