Ruth E. (Pine) Goodson

Ruth E. Goodson, 66, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Community Hospital North after a brief illness. She had been a resident of Anderson her entire life. She was born July 2, 1951, in Anderson, the daughter of Jasper T. and Sarah Elizabeth (Wellons) Pine. She was a school bus driver for Hayden Anderson Transit for 10+ years and was a bus driver for C.A.T.S. when she retired. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Beverly Tomlinson of New Port Richey, FL; grandson, Chase Tomlinson of Anderson; great-grandchildren William Chase Tomlinson and Skyra Tomlinson; special friend, Greta Wingler Bowman; brothers, David (Donna) Pine of Pendleton, Stephen Pine of Fort Worth, TX and Mike (Belinda) Pine of Chesterfield; sister Judith Rogers of Bryant, AL; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William D. Goodson; daughter, Angela Marie Jarvis and son; grandson, Jacob Tomlinson; brothers, Morley Pine, James Pine and Robert Pine; and sisters, Joyce Crum and Beverly Poston. As per Ruth’s wishes cremation has been chosen.
