Ruth E. Miller

Ruth E. Miller, 93, passed away on October 11, 2022 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus in Anderson.  She was born on March 16, 1929 in Indiana to the late William and June (Steele) Phillips.

Ruth graduated from Daleville High School in 1947.   She attended the Chesterfield Christian Church for over 50 years and was one of the oldest members of the church.  Ruth was also an avid member of the Daleville Eastern Star.  She worked as a salesclerk and manager for Hills Dept. Store and Wassons.  In her spare time, she enjoyed collecting antiques, as well as attending craft shows.  She also had a hobby of decorating eggs, it could be Faberge eggs, ostrich eggs, chicken eggs, etc. Ruth was also married to the love of her life to the late Robert Miller.

Ruth is survived by her daughters, Rebecca (Ray) Yates, and Laura (Ed) Gosser; grandchildren, Terrell (Melissa) Dilts and Troy (Kathy) Dilts; great grandchildren, Gracie, Eli, Conor, and Maddi; sister, Jonora Claybrook.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brother James Phillips

Services will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013 with burial at Miller Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 to 1:00 pm prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made out to Chesterfield Christian Church.
