Ruth C. Hoppess Mccord

Ruth C. McCord, 90, Anderson, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2007, at Countryside Manor in Anderson following an extended illness.
She was born on July 9, 1917, in Anderson, Indiana to Theodore and Minnie (Gayle) Cook.
She graduated from Anderson High School in 1934 and from Anderson Business College.
Ruth had been employed for many years at the former Lapel Grain Company.
She is survived by her husband, Paul O. McCord; one son, Ted (wife, Jan) Hoppes of Anderson; one sister, Mary Behrens of Anderson; one brother, John (wife, Ruth Ellen) Cook of Anderson; one step-son, Philip McCord of Riley; and three step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by, her parents; and her first husband, Freedois "Bud" Hoppes.
Funeral will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Anderson with Rev. Art Jaggard officiating, Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
