Ruth C. Beard

Ruth C. Beard, 96, of Anderson, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 01, 2016 at Community Hospital Anderson.

She was born August 22, 1919 in Edmunson County, Kentucky to the late Hugh R. and Lillie Grace (Wilson) Cowles and lived in the Anderson area most of her life.

Ruth was a member of Lone Oak Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed flower gardening. Mostly family was her life. She was a great mother and grandmother and loved family dinners when she could show her talent for cooking.

She is survived by her children, Loretta Simmons, Jess (wife, Carol) Skinner, Barbara Masters and Cynthia (Beard) Nesbitt all of Anderson; 15 grandchildren, including special granddaughter, Kimberly (Masters) Brown; 13 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Beard; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Pastor Bill Thompson officiating. Burial will be at PerkinsvilleCemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
