Ruth Ann Carr

Ruth Ann Carr, 68, passed away at her residence surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, March 27, 2021. She was born July 30, 1952, to the late Jim & Rachel (McIntyre) Graham. Ruth Ann had worked for Anderson Community Schools in the cafeteria for several years. While residing in Lakeland, Florida form 1978-1992 she worked in a factory assembling trailers. Her most important job was as the family caregiver and a devoted mother. She loved to spend her time in the outdoors camping and fishing. Ruth Ann is survived by her sisters, Ruby Robertson & Betty Rector; special nieces, Sherry Johnson & Rachel Johnson; daughter-in-law, Tara Carr; grandchildren, Desireé Vance & Jonathan Mooneyhan; she was GiGi to Keyomi Campbell & Jackson Mooneyhan; sister-in-law, Lea Graham; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James “Wayne” Carr; son, Jamie Carr; siblings, Gene Graham, Leon Graham, Ronnie Graham, Wanda Vaughn, & Randall Graham; nephews, Dennis Scott, Jason Fuller, & Timmy Johnson. Services will be at 1pm Saturday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial will be at East Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 am at the funeral home until the time of services. Due to recent COVID mandates, masks are required, and social distancing must be practiced. The family would like to give special thanks to Kindred Hospice for the care & respect shown to Ruth Ann through her extended illness.
