Ruby N. Robertson

Ruby N. Robertson, 77, of Anderson, passed away at her home on December 11, 2022. Ruby was born on May 6, 1945 in Burkesville, KY to the late Jim and Rachel (McIntyre) Graham.  The Graham family moved to Anderson in the late 1940s.   She was the eldest daughter of the 8 Graham children.

She married the love of her life, Harold W. Robertson, on July 16, 1965 and they were married 39 years before his passing in 2004. Ruby and her husband, owned and operated the Glass Replacement Center from 1976-1989. Ruby exited the family business in 1989 to turn her lifelong hobby of sewing into a full- time profession.  She was quite the seamstress and, for nearly 25 years, took on any challenge her interior decorating clients sent to her.  Even in her later years Ruby would do small sewing projects for the special friends in her life.  Ruby found her spiritual home at Lone Oak Wesleyan, which was once Arrow Avenue, and was a faithful member for many years. She had an unwavering commitment to her family and always put others needs before her own.

Ruby will be dearly missed by her son, Ricky and daughter-in-law Valerie Robertson; sister, Betty Rector; sister-in-law, Lea Graham and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; parents, Jim and Rachel; mother-in-law, Gracie Pearl (Williams) Yarberry; brothers, Eugene, Leon, Randal, and Ronnie Paul Graham; sisters, Wanda Vaugh and Ruth Ann Carr; and nephews, Dennis Scott and Jamie Carr.

The visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53^rd St., Anderson, 46013. The funeral ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ruby’s name may be gifted to the Lone Oak Wesleyan Church or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
