Roy Dallas Meredith

Roy Dallas Meredith, 65, Lapel, passed away Monday at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on February 26, 1952, in Noblesville.
Roy was graduated from Hamilton Heights High School.
He retired in 2012 from the Pendleton Reformatory.
Roy attended Lone Oak Wesleyan Church; and was a member of the GWRRA Motorcycle Club; and the National Cur and Feist Breeders Association. His greatest joy was spending time with his family; attending his grandchildrens band events; hunting with his dogs; taking vacations on his motorcycle; and serving the Lord.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Teressa (Jones); one son, Jacob (Jessica) Meredith; two grandchildren, Emily and Austin; and one great-grandson, Alex; six brothers, Melvin, Ralph, Bobby, Tim, David, and Paul; and one sister, Shelly.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents; and four sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel with Pastor Bill Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
