Rosella Ranshaw

Rosella “Sue” Ranshaw , age 96, died peacefully on Thursday, July 6, 2017, in Glenview, IL. Rosella was born on July 10,1920 in Owen County, IN, to the late Alvin and Olive (Davis) Cantwell. She graduated from Indiana Business College in 1939. In 1940, she married William C. Ranshaw and moved to Anderson shortly thereafter. She was a long time member of the Anderson First Baptist Church and an ardent fan of Indiana basketball. She was devoted to her family who will greatly miss her loving ways and great sense of humor. Rosella is survived by her daughters, Jane Ranshaw of Chicago, IL and Margaret Ranshaw Gordon and husband Ross of Raleigh, NC; her sons, John Ranshaw, wife Kate of Glenview, IL and Craig Ranshaw, wife Cindy of Lake Zurich, IL. She is also survived by six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Ranshaw and her son William Ranshaw and wife Patti of Denver, CO. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. A graveside service will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Art Jaggard officiating. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Rosella’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to First Baptist Church, 907 N. Raible Ave., Anderson, IN 46011.
