Roseann P. Shupe, 73, Fishersburg, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2007, at her residence.
She was born on December 31, 1933, in Hamilton County, Indiana to John and Pauline (Spencer) Purciful.
She graduated from Sheridan High School in 1951.
Roseann began her work career at Allison Transmission division of General Motors. She had owned and operated many businesses through the years including: Boutique Shop and Tea Room, and Rosies Place both in Lapel. Rosie also was secretary for Judge Judy Proffitt in Hamilton County. She also was vice president of Shupe Trenching.
She was a former officer of the women's republican party in Hamilton County. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and was one of the founders of the Lapel Business Association
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Donald W. Shupe; three children, Linda (husband, Blake) Bowman of Midlothian, TX, Don A. (wife, Rosie) Shupe of Noblesville, and Marcia Shupe of Fishersburg; two brothers, Rev. Ed (wife, Julie) Purciful of Anderson and John Purciful of Anderson; one sister, Marcia (husband, Richard) McKinney of Pendleton; five grandchildren, Jonathan Shupe, Annaelise Bowman, Austin Jarrett, Shaneerose Bowman, McKalyn Weeks.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Don Purciful.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel with Rev. Ed Purciful officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to North Anderson Wesleyan Church.
