Rose T. Slack, 77, of Anderson, passed away April 21, 2017 at her residence. She was born on June 17, 1939 in Bedford, Indiana to the late Jeptha and Virginia (Petty) Thomas. She retired from Guide Corporation after 20 years of service. Rose was a member of the New Hope Trinity Church in Anderson, and the local UAW. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and birds. Rose is survived by her husband of 55 years, Lindy Slack of Anderson; children, Lisa (Craig) Miller of Anderson, step-daughter, Debbie Moody of Anderson; grandchildren, Christopher S. Gross Jr., Lindsay (Justin) Wood, Steven (Nina) Robinson; great grandchildren, Christopher M. Gross, Keygan Robinson, and one on the way. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rena Jo Eller Gross; siblings, Clinton Thomas, Deloris Jenkins, and JW Thomas. Service will be at 12:00 pm Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Rev. Clifton and Landal Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Grovelawn cemetery, Pendleton. Friends may call from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home. Sympathy may be expressed in the form of donations to the New Hope Trinity Church.
