Rose Marie Swank Mcdonald

October 16, 1925 — April 22, 2020

Rose went to her heavenly home on April 22, 2020. She was a remarkable woman dedicated to her faith and her family. Rose was born in Pendleton, Indiana on October 16, 1925. She was a lifelong resident of Noblesville until she moved to Texas in 2013 to be closer to her son, Calvin Swank, and his family.
A graduate of Lapel High School, class of 1943, Rose was a great conversationalist but also a good listener. She was kind and cared for others. Rose could always make you smile and her laughter was contagious.
Rose was married to Ralph Swank from 1947 until his death in 1965. In 1967, she married Jacob McDonald. She worked as a beautician with a shop in her home, and also retired from a job she loved at the Indiana Gas Company. Faith was a very important part of her life. She was an active member of Prairie Baptist Church while she lived in Noblesville.
Rose was preceded in death by two husbands: Ralph Swank and Jacob McDonald; parents, Paul and Arna Sheller; a brother Russell Sheller and sister Marjorie Carey, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Survivors include: son Calvin (Susan) Swank; step children, Karen (Gary) Roudebush, John (Denise) McDonald; grandchildren Kyle, Daniel and Claire Swank; step grandchildren, Jim (Jenny) Roudebush, Craig (Dee) Roudebush, Shon (Alicia) McDonald, Aaron (Samantha) McDonald; sister Harriett Turner; brother George (Wanda) Sheller; many nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and friends.
She was a strong, determined and caring woman who was one of a kind. Rose was loved by so many and will truly be missed. She was looking forward to the day when she would take her place in heaven and be with the Lord. She is home.
Because of her love for spreading the gospel, memorials should be given to your local church.
