Rosalyn 'Rosie' Mae Duffitt

Rosalyn Mae "Rosie" Duffitt, 87, of Lapel, passed away Friday, May 28, 2021, at Community Northview in Anderson following a brief illness.She was born on April 15, 1934, in Anderson, Indiana to Ernest Leonard Huffman and Mary Elizabeth (Brockmeire) Huffman Ruth.Rosie was married to her husband, Birchard "Butch" Duffitt for 66 years before his passing in 2016.Rosie attended both Anderson and Lapel Schools throughout her life.She was a homemaker.Rosie and Butch loved to travel. She enjoyed crocheting blankets for her children and grandchildren.She is survived by her two daughters, Lou Anne (Bennie) Jennings and Becky Walker; eight grandchildren, Jason Cole, Kathy (Woody) Hearn, Rosie (Al) Saenz, Robert (Maryann) Jennings, Joseph (Joy) Jennings, Andrea (Jon) Westphal, Phillip (Whitney) Walker, and Elizabeth (Trevor) Cress; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Rosanna Duffitt and Dorothy Duffitt; she was also survived by many nieces and nephews.Rosalyn was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her son, Steve Duffitt and son-in-law, Glen Walker; two brothers, David and Harold Huffman; her identical twin sister, Carolyn Huffman; and her loving dog, Molly.A funeral service will be held at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home on Thursday June 3, 2021 at 2:00pm with Rev. Glenn Knepp officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.Visitation will be from Noon 2:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to Ford Street United Methodist Church.Online condolences: www.hersbergerbozell.com
