Rosa L. Renfro, 95, of Anderson, has gone to meet her Lord and Savior. Rosa passed away Feb. 1, 2016, at home with her family by her side.
She was born September 18, 1920, in Blythewood, SC., to the late John and Josephine (Fulmer) Lorick. She was a homemaker and had worked at the Dorothy Blevins Tea Room for several years. Rosa loved to cook and always had something ready to eat when anyone came by to visit. She loved to knit and crochet. She made beautiful Afghans and prayer cloths. Rosa was a long time member of the Southdale Church of the Nazarene.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who showed everyone the true meaning of love.
She is survived by her children, James (Diane) Renfro of Anderson, John (Karen) Renfro of Ingalls, and a daughter, Janet (Chris) Poore of Daleville; eight grandchildren; Jeff Renfro of Anderson, Eric Poore of Daleville; Cherilyn (Roger) Durant of Anderson, Misty (Shane) Rees of Middletown, Gabriel (Christine) Renfro of Indianapolis, Jennifer (Chris) Berry of McCordsville, Julianne (Greg) Shilling of Indianapolis, Jessica (Ted) Shetterley of Pendleton; thirteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Randell C. Renfro; brothers; John, Clarence, Joe, and Sidney Lorick; and a sister Minnie Corley.
Services will be noon, Saturday, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, with Pastor Gary Klinger officiating. Burial will follow at Huntsville Cemetery.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
