Ronald Tesch

September 20, 1948 — February 18, 2023

Ronald Tesch, 74, of Elwood, Indiana (formerly of Tekonsha, Michigan), passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at his residence following an extended and courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on September 20, 1948, in Albion, Michigan, to William and Martha (Heiney) Tesch.

He attended Litchfield Schools.

He retired as owner/operator of Tesch Grain Transport in 2010.

He loved mini-rod tractor pulling, antique tractor pulling, farming and mechanic work. He enjoyed working with his hands doing fabrication work and constructing yard art. He enjoyed making things "from scratch." Ronald loved watching Nascar and was a huge Dale Earnhardt Sr. fan back in the day. Ironically, they both passed away on the same date (different year). He was a member of Calhoun County Yesteryear Association and Tri-State Mini Tractor Pullers, where he built the sled they currently use to this day. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Loralee "Lori" Tesch; four children, Tiffany (Todd) Boone of Indiana, Annette (Paul) Stuart of Michigan, Rhonda (Karl) Fairchild of Michigan and Ronald (Tiea) Tesch of Michigan; five grandchildren, Tayden Boone, Tayleigh Boone, Makayla Stuart, Zachary Chapman and Kortney Fairchild; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Arlene Porter of Camden, Michigan.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Ronald Tesch Jr; and three brothers, Aldin Tesch, Duane Tesch and Harold Tesch.

Cremation will take place. A "Celebration of Life" service will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to IU Health Hospice, 950 N. Meridian Street, Suite 700, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204 or Calhoun County Yesteryear Association, 4820 Mann Road, Concord, Michigan 49237.
