Ronald “Joe” Richardson

Ronald “Joe” Richardson, age 79, of Anderson, passed away November 3, 2016 at Community Northview Care Center. He was born August 29, 1937 in Anderson, the son of the late Guy and Alice (Walters) Richardson. He was a member of the Anderson High School Class of 1955. Joe retired from Delco-Remy in 1991 after 36 years of service. He was a member of the Redmon’s Lodge, the Eagles Lodge in Alexandria and U.A.W.-C.I.O. Local 662. He is survived by his children, Terry (Teresa) Richardson of Anderson, Randall (Debbie) Richardson of Elizabethtown, KY and Amy (Don) Cummins of Anderson; grandchildren, Susan, Randall, Robert, Michael, Tiffany and Travis; great-grandchildren, Addrianna, Garrett, Chloe, Gracelynd, Mikey, Josh, Caleb and Alanna; brothers, Eddie Richardson and Bobby Richardson; sister, Julia; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; and brothers, Tommy and Dale. The family would like to thank the staffs of Community Northview Care Center and Southern Care Hospice for their care and support. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Pastor Gary Woodring officiating Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 – 4:00p.m. at the funeral home.
