Ronald Joe Jordan ,81, passed away Friday, September 25, 2020 at Castleton Health Care Center of Indianapolis succumbing from his long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He was the husband of Belinda Jordan. They shared 42 years of marriage together. Born September 10, 1939 in Anderson, Indiana, he was the son of Robert and Oma Jordan. He was a 1957 graduate from Madison Heights, joining the US Navy the same year. During his service he was on the USS Hornet with tours to Japan, Guam, and Hawaii as well as being stationed in San Diego, CA, & Bremerton, WA. He attended Ball State University and was a police officer and detective of the City of Anderson as well as Director of Loss prevention/Security for Simon Property Group-Mounds Mall retiring from both in 1986. Shortly after, he relocated to California and spent many years there before returning to his “Indiana Family” in 2015 to spend his final years. His love for living & exploring in California brought him further into his hobby of photography in which he received honors for some of his work. He loved to travel in the states and abroad and especially going on unplanned “road trips”! Ron will be remembered for his crazy sense of humor that brought laughter to many and the gentle laid-back way he had about him. He loved his family & friends dearly, he loved life! He is survived by his wife, Belinda of Noblesville, IN, Daughter, Cathy (Montie) Womack of Middletown, IN, his sons, Ronald Jordan Jr. of Anderson, IN, Todd (Erin)Jordan, of Buck Creek, IN, Shawn (Shannon) Jordan of Ben Lomond, CA, and Step-son, Dave(Becky) Marsh of Franklin, IN. Grandchildren James Womack, Ashton, Kiely and Evan Jordan, David Marsh (Tammi), Wayne and Garrett Ellison, and Annie Boyd along with 2 Great Grandsons, David & Liam Marsh. Ronald also leaves his brother Robert (Elizabeth) Jordan, Rocklin, CA, his sister Susan Bryson of Anderson, IN along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and his Swedish Family: Hans, Robin, Nils, Sven, and Godson Axel Ydremark all of Eksjo Sweden. Special thanks to: The HATS/Touchpoint Team of Noblesville, Ann Harless & Todd Wagner. To ALL the staff at Castleton Health Centre especially Nurse Shelly, Sarah’s Care of Indianapolis, and Guardian Angel Hospice. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Larry, two nieces, and his daughter in-law Rebecca Jordan. There will be a reflection gathering held at Brown Butz & Diedring Funeral Service and Crematory Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 2:00 P.M., with visitation from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Ronald will be cremated with his ashes to be scattered from the Chardonnay Sailing boat in the Monterey Bay, Santa Cruz, California.
