Roger Langlais

August 7, 1950 — October 6, 2017

Roger Reginald Langlais, 67, left us on Friday, October 6, 2017, at Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee, FL.
He was born August 7, 1950, in Providence, RI to Reginald and Beatrice Langlais. He was an Army veteran having served two tours of duty during the Vietnam War in which he was awarded several medals for his service including the Bronze Star, National Defense Service Medal, and Vietnam Service Medal.
He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and was an active member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign War.
Surviving are his wife, Martina (Lowe), three adult children with his former wife, Debbie Langlais; Richard Langlais (wife Susan) of Sheridan; Diane Richardson of Cicero; Christine Altherr of St Pete FL; and eight grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother and four brothers and was preceded in death by his father.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 28th at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street Lapel and there will also be a celebration of his life held from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 110 E 9th Street in Lape.
