Rodney E. Springer

Rodney E. Springer, 61, Anderson, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at Community Hospital of Anderson following a brief illness.
He was born on February 27, 1948, in Millville, New Jersey to Daniel and Lillian (Bowen) Springer.
He graduated from Lapel High School in 1966.
Rodney retired from Delco Remy after 30 years of employment and he was currently employed by Boram Landscaping in Noblesville.
He is survived by two children, Staci (husband, John) Brack of Kokomo; and Jason (wife, Laura) Springer of Tipton; four grandchildren, Brody Brack, Malia Springer, Jaylie Jo Springer, Slade Springer; and three brothers; Paul (wife, Marsha) Springer of Lapel, Bruce (wife, Tonja) Springer of Lapel, and Mark Springer of Lapel.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Keaton Brack; two brothers, Bill Springer, and Jerry Springer; and a nephew, Scott Springer.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday, May 3, 2009, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
He will be interred in New Jersey at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Childrens Hospital.
