Robert Wendling

Robert L. Wendling, 79, of Anderson, passed away April 20, 2015 at Fox Manor in Waterford, MI.

He was born on June 29, 1935 in Cleveland, OH; graduated from University of Dayton and has lived in Anderson since 1961.

Robert was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where he was a Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Stewardship Committee, Prison Ministry and St. Vincent DePaul Society. He also served in the U.S. Coast Guard.

He is survived by three sons, Jerry Wendling of Anderson, David (wife, Heidi) Wendling of Nashville, TN, Stephen (wife, Sandy) Wendling of Mansfield, TX. and daughter, Ann Caroffino (Fiance, Kyle York) of Waterford, MI; six grandchildren, Tiffany Wendling, Andrew Wendling, Emily Caroffino (fianc�, Brandon) Amanda Wendling, Reid Wendling and John Wendling; brother, William (wife, Patricia) Wendling; brother-in-law, Dennis Ryan; sister-in-law Mary (husband, Barry) Venrick and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce K. Wendling; brother, Thomas Wendling; Sister-in-law, Janet Ryan and parents, Frank and Marcella Wendling.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Mark Walter officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary School Scholarship Fund or St. Vincent DePaul Society.
