Robert W. Bob Gentry, 64, Noblesville, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2007, at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born on January 31, 1943, in Noblesville, Indiana to Robert and Betty (Cecil) Gentry.
Robert had been employed for 22 years by IMI and had worked as an operating engineer with the Operators Engineering Union Local 103 for 5 years.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carol J. (White) Gentry; one daughter, Melissa (husband, Vince) Rundquist of Lapel; his mother, Betty Denham of Noblesville; two sisters, Sandra Gentry and Pam Hobbs both of Noblesville; one brother, Ronald (wife, Judy) Gentry of Quincy; three step-brothers, Steve (wife, Vickie) Denham of Anderson, Jackie Denham of Noblesville, and Charlie Denham (fiance, Sherry Rushton) of Strawtown; one step-sister, Lynn Lawson of Indianapolis; and two granddaughters, Rachelle and Grace Rundquist
He was preceded in death by, his father Robert Gentry and his step-father, Harold Denham.
Funeral will be held at 2:00 pm Monday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Evan Strong officiating, Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Sunday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
The family would like to thank the Southern Care Hospice and special aide Tisha Brewer for their loving care.
