Robert Thurrell “Bob” Craig, 93, of Anderson, passed away on March 20, 2024. Bob was born on August 13, 1930 in Anderson to the late Lester and Hazel (Harrison) Avery. He married his loving wife, Betty (Stewart) Craig, on June 23, 1998. Bob served his country in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged after 3 years. He worked for General Motors as a lineman for 32 years before his retirement. In true Bob fashion, he never truly retired and started his own business as a painter. Bob found his spiritual home at Anderson New Life Church and was a faithful member for many years. He was a member of the UAW, Shriner and a 32nd Degree Mason.
Bob will be dearly missed by his son, Scott (Mary Beth) Craig; grandchildren, Scott (Brittney) Craig, Jr. and Samantha (Bray) Dunaway; step-daughter, Cindy (Mark) Sharp; great-grandchildren, Emilyn, Colson, Corbin, Rowan, and Sloane; chosen daughters, Cindy (Brent Barger) Simmons, Cindy Jackson; brother, Jack (Lucy) Craig; numerous nieces and nephews; and close friends Joe Myers, Paul Turner and Roger Rinker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Craig; and 2 brothers, Ralph Davis and Delbert Davis.

A graveside ceremony will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, 6805 Doctor M.L.K. Jr Blvd, Anderson, IN 46013. Cremation rites have been accorded. Bob’s services have been entrusted to Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Shiners Hospital for Children (donate.lovetotherescue.org).
