Robert R. (Reece) Rogers, age 86, of Pendleton, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ann (Smith) Rogers on Sunday, December 3, 2017. He was born at home in Pendleton, to Myldred (Adams) and Clarence Rogers on October 11, 1931.He was a graduate of Pendleton High School, Class of 1949 and attended Purdue University. He retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors in 1980, and was a lifetime farmer.He was a member of Madison Masonic Lodge #44 F. & A.M. of Pendleton, and was a caretaker and board member of The Friends Cemetery of Pendleton. He enjoyed playing cards and the many winter vacations to the Bahamas, and Marco Island, Florida.He was so proud of all his family, and is survived by sons, Rick R. Rogers (Emily), Richard A. Rogers (Cathy), Sidney C. Rogers (Jill), grandchildren, R. Jacob Rogers (Annie), Luke Rogers (Stacy), Seth Rogers (Stephanie), Noah Rogers, Corinna Crum (Travis), Ryan Rogers (Lindsey), Cari Pickens (Brandon), Heidi Greer (Jaime), Craig Rogers (Tiffany). He also had ten great grandchildren, David and Andrew Rogers; Caleb Crum; Emma, Carson, and Bentley Rogers; Braxton and Jase Greer; Lauren and Lana Rogers; step-grandchildren, Tyler Greer, Emma and Brie Pickens.He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Jean Markle.As was his request, he will be cremated, and there will be no public services. There will soon be a Celebration of Life at a family gathering. Reece will be buried at The Friends Cemetery, Pendleton, Indiana.Donations in his name may be made to The Friends Cemetery Association, 1893 W.
