Robert P. Graves Jr.

Robert Pearl Graves Jr., 92, of Anderson, passed away on July 8, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Harlan County, Kentucky on January 7, 1927 to the late Robert and Grace (Elliott) Graves Sr. Robert retired as an electrician from Guide Division of General Motors in 1981 after 30 years of service. He was a member of Solar Masonic Lodge, First Church of the Nazarene, and past President of the Board of Lampco Credit Union. Robert enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Emma Jean (Moore) Graves of Anderson; son, Bob (Diana) Graves of Anderson; grandson, Joseph (Kristi) Graves; great grandchildren, Josie and Lucas Graves all of Anderson; siblings, Pauline Meeks, Delmar (Mary Lou) Graves, Elizabeth (Gene) Crawford, and several nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his siblings; Sam Graves, James Graves, Wilford Graves, Clyde Graves, Frankie Graves Eller, Charles Graves. Services will be held on Monday at 2:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013 with Pastor Gary Cable officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Nazarene Church of Anderson.
