Robert Moore Bob Anderson

Robert Moore Bob Anderson, 85, Noblesville, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2010, at Sheridan Healthcare Center in Sheridan following an extended illness.
He was born on October 11, 1924, in Hamilton County, Indiana to Leon and Marie (Moore) Anderson.
He attended Durbin Elementary and Lapel High School.
Bob was a life-long farmer in Wayne Township. He loved animals especially his dogs. He raised several orphaned raccoons, squirrels, skunks, chipmunks, and a fox. Also, any baby animals that needed to be raised with a bottle: pigs, calves, lambs, and a special goat, Baby Deer. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, playing cards, traveling and spending time at his pond.
He was a founding member of the Wayne Township Fire Department; was also a member of the Lapel Lions Club; a fifty year member of the former Clarksville Masonic Lodge; and he enjoyed his monthly eucher games with friends for over 50 years
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margaret E. (Cunningham) Anderson; three children, Carol Sue (husband, Rod) Dillman of Troutville, VA, Cathy Lou (husband, Mark "Duke") Hensley of Lake Placid, FL, and James Walter (wife, Regina) Anderson of Lapel and Hudson, FL; one sister, Frances Burke of Noblesville; one brother, Dwight Anderson of Noblesville; seven grandchildren, Shane Hensley, Jessica (husband, Michael) Sands, Eric (wife, Amber) Hensley, Ryan Wickersham, Robert E. Anderson, Megan Marie Wickersham, and Katie Ellen Anderson; seven great-grandchildren, Blake Van Voorhies, Tony Van Voorhies, Brodie Moore Hensley, Grace Hensley, Rylan Jason Hensley, Emma Hensley, and Olivia Sands; step-grandchildren, Rodney (wife, Stephanie), Ashley, Jessica, and Barrett Dillman, Keifer and Cameron Nash; and step-great-grandchildren, Ashton and Byron Dillman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert William; and a grandson, Jason Hensley.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, October 7, 2010, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Dawn Cuthbert officiating. Burial will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
