Robert M. Hilligoss

Robert M Hilligoss, 89, of Anderson, IN passed away on April 7, 2019. Robert was born on July 19, 1929 in Anderson. He graduated from Pendleton High School and proudly served in the U.S Navy. “‘Bob had a long career as a draftsman at Delco Remy in Anderson. He was a member of St. Ambrose Church, Knights of Columbus and the BPOE and the Madison Heights Basketball Boosters. He was an avid sports fan and was lovingly referred to as “Coach” by his Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 47 years Helene Hilligoss, his parents Everett and Sylvia Hilligoss, and his sisters Eunice Martin and Delores Martin. Robert is survived by his wife, Sandra Hilligoss and his three loving daughters Darlene (Mark) McMahan of Pendleton, IN, Marlene Hilligoss of Nashville, TN and Chris (Mike) O’Brien of South Bend, IN. He is also survived by six Grandchildren, Colin (Angela) McMahan, Trent (Katie) McMahan, Bri Schaab, Alex Schaab, Jessica O’Brian and Sara O’Brien as well as one great grandchild, Owen McMahan. He is also survived by his brother Ralph Hilligoss and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Friday at 11:30 am at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, Indiana 46013 with Monsignor Robert Sell officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at the funeral home.
