Robert Louis Webb

Robert Louis Webb, 75, Noblesville, went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ, passing peacefully into Heaven on Saturday, October 18, 2014, with his loving family by his side. He was born on March 17, 1939, in Benton, Illinois to Malcolm and Marie (Seibert) Webb. He graduated from Noblesville High School in 1957. Bob took a tool and die apprenticeship at the former Firestone Industrial Products in Noblesville and later worked at W. C. Kirby and Son in Noblesville, Delco Remy in Anderson, and finally retired in 2000 from Rolls Royce/Allison in Indianapolis after 25 years of employment. He was a member of the Prairie Baptist Church in rural Noblesville; and the United Auto Workers Local 933. Bob loved tinkering with cars and also projects around the house. What he loved most was spending time with his grandchildren and finally getting to see his great-granddaughter. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon (McDonald) Webb; four sons, Larry Webb of Acworth, GA, Gary (wife, Fida) Webb of Jacksonville, FL, Chad (wife, Jennifer) Webb of Arcadia, and Scot Webb of Noblesville; seven grandchildren, Mark, Rick, Randy, Anthony (wife, Emily), Hannah, Dax, and Addison; one great-granddaughter, Savannah; one sister, Jane (husband, Phil) Simmons of Noblesville; several nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Barbara McDonald of Cicero; his sister-in-law, Marsha (husband, Terry) Murray of Cicero; and his brother-in-law, Ron (wife, Teri) McDonald of Cicero. He was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, October 23, 2014, at Prairie Baptist Church in rural Noblesville with Pastor Stephen Passmore officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Memorial Cemetery, Noblesville. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Prairie Baptist Church, 14790 East 206th Street, Noblesville, Indiana 46060.
