Robert L. “Bob” Trueblood, 91, of Anderson, passed away May 14, 2017 at Community Northview Care Center after a brief illness. He was born November 29, 1925 in Anderson to the late Charles and Grace (Johnson) Trueblood. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School and was a lifelong Anderson resident. In 1993, he retired from Guide Division of General Motors after 42 ½ years of service. Bob served in the U.S. Navy during WW II and was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Noblesville Railroad Museum, Pennsylvania Railroad Technical Historical Society, N.M.R.R. Association, Circus Hall of Fame Service Museum in Peru, Indiana and The Great Wallace Ring. He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Trueblood of Anderson; daughter-in-law, Peggy Trueblood of Anderson; four grandchildren, Laura Pitts of Indianapolis, Andrew (Meghan) Pitts of Indianapolis, Kelly Trueblood of Lafayette and Kimberly Trueblood of Loveland, Colorado; and two great grandchildren, Alaina Beeler and Ethan Beeler. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Trueblood; daughter, Rachel Pitts and former wife and companion, Georgann “Ann” Trueblood. Services will be 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Fr. Daniel Shine officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted. Visitation will be 10:00-12:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
