Robert G. Milliner

Robert G. Milliner, Jr., 67, Lapel, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Community Hospital of Anderson in Anderson following an extended illness.
He was born July 26, 1954, in Anderson, Indiana to his loving parents Robert G. Milliner, Sr. and Virginia (Stanford) Milliner.
He retired from Owens Brockway in Lapel after several years.
Bobby attended Bethel United Methodist Church. His friends and family have many fond memories camping, horseback riding, tubing and skiing, and jamming to rock music with him. There was always a car being rebuilt at his home and a motorcycle in the garage.
He is survived by his parents; a brother Doug (Debbie) Milliner of Anderson; sister Darla (Rick) Busby of Pendleton, niece Kelsie (Andy) Barva; two nephews Ryan (Lauren) Busby, and Wesley Busby; four great-nieces and nephews, Max, Addie, Katie and Roman. Bob was also survived by a special friend Myra Milliner.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife Debbie Milliner.
Bobby was all about beating the odds and living the life he was given to the absolute fullest. He was full of surprises and a spark that is a rarity to come across. If you were lucky enough to have known him, then your life was most assuredly left touched and a little brighter.
He never met a stranger and was always willing to help, no matter what. He loved his family fiercely and played a meaningful role in each of their lives. Bobby made sure his family knew how much he loved and looked up to his parents. He loved talking about how he had the best childhood and reliving those cherished memories. His parents and siblings always made him feel strong, included and loved throughout his entire life.
Bobby worked hard, loved hard, played hard and never gave up. He exemplified what it meant to put others first and treat people with kindness.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana with Rev. Kristine Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel, IN.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
