Robert “Bob” Eugene Apple, 74, passed away Monday, June 18, 2018. He was born May 6, 1944, in Hancock County to the late Howard & Frances (Jones) Apple. Bob was a graduate of Charlottesville High School, Class of ’63. He retired from Delco Remy after 39 years and had served in the Indiana National Guard. Bob was a member of the Markleville North Christian Church and of the American Quarter Horse Association. He had been a 4-H leader in Hancock County and enjoyed teaching the youth how to ride and care for horses. He loved fishing, golf, woodworking, and spending time with his family. Bob is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janice “Jan” (Smith) Apple; son, Donnie (wife, Laura) Apple; three step grandsons, Jonathon (wife, Andrienna), Benjamin, & Andrew; one step great-grandson, Nicholas; sister, Dorothy (husband, Dave) Williamson; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by grandson, Wyatt Levi. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, at the North Christian Church, officiated by Pastor Jerome Bell, with calling an hour prior. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Wilkinson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the North Christian Church, 32 N. State Street, Markleville, IN 46056.
