Robert Edwin Coyle

Robert Edwin "Ed" Coyle, 82, of Naples, Florida passed away in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 19, 2023, from complications of Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinsonism.

Ed lived life fully and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was always available to help a friend or someone in need. Everyone who met Ed enjoyed his quick wit, intellectual conversation and generosity. Ed enjoyed a successful career at General Mills as a commodities trader, both in Chicago and in Minneapolis.

He will be missed by his wife, Barb; his daughters, Kathleen (Bob) Dabkowski, Kelly (Phil) Shikany and Kristine (Joe) Hammond; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy (George) Likens; and brother, Rich (Lori) Coyle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elinor Coyle.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at The Waters of Edina and Grace Hospice for their wonderful care of Ed in his final months.

A private celebration of life will be held for family and friends at a later date.
