Robert Edward Clinton

Robert Edward "Bob" Clinton, 86 of Anderson, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital following a sudden illness. Bob was born on February 9, 1930, in Celina, Tennessee, to Fowler and Ila Mae (West) Clinton.
He was a U. S. Army veteran and retired from the former Delco Remy division of General Motors in Anderson after 30 years of employment.
Bob was a loving and caring husband for 63 years to Betty (Boles) Clinton; other survivors include, one brother, Ray Clinton of Covington, KY; one sister, Dodie Pennington of Celina, TN; and several nieces and nephews including Carol (husband, Perry) Shinholt of Lapel.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Edwin Clinton; and three sisters, Nell Clinton, Frankie Cook and Alyne Mendenhall
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, December 12, 2016, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 Main North Street, Lapel with Pastor Glenn Knepp officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Monday, December 12, 2016, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home.
