Robert D. King, Sr.

Robert D. King, Sr., 74, formerly of Lapel , passed away Sunday, December 4, 2005, in Plant City, Florida following an extended illness.
He was born January 28, 1931, in Monticello, New York, the son of Edward R. and Hilda King .
He was a retired truck driver for Butler Trucking in Indianapolis.
He is survived by four children, Shar Clements, Kathy Cowan, Carol Harrell and Richard King; two brothers, George King and Leon King; two sisters Agnes VanAken and Amy King; his companion Marjorie Carter; fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Jessie; a son Robert King Jr.; and two brothers, Eugene and Edward King.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM Friday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.
The family will receive friends at the Lapel American Legion following the service.
