Robert “Bob” S. James, 78, of Anderson, passed away Friday, July 5, 2019. He was born January 24, 1941, in Chicago to the late David H. James & Claris (Shawhan) Reed. He was a beloved little league baseball and football coach for Pendleton Junior Baseball and Football. He was in IHSAA Wrestling Official for 15 years and officiated three Indiana State Championships. He was an avid Purdue and Yankee fan and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.He is survived by his wife, Mavon (King) James; sons, Thomas James & Ronald (fiancé, Carrie Davis) James; grandchildren, Sara (husband, Jasper) Moffitt, Emma James, & Drew James; brothers, Ronald & Martin James; and close friend, Mike Summey. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Fred James, Karen Skinner, and Richard James. A Celebration of Life will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Lahm Chapel, with James Tallman officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
