Rita Jean Mourey

Rita Jean (Terrell) Mourey, 70, of Anderson, Indiana passed away January 9, 2019 at her home.She was born March 26, 1948 in Rushville, Indiana and was a former resident of Fortville, Greenfield and Greenwood.Rita was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School in Hancock County and was of the Baptist faith.She had been employed at Dana Corporation in Milford, CVS Distribution Center in Indianapolis and Endress+Hauser in Greenwood.Survivors include her husband, James E. “Jim” Mourey, Jr. whom she married January 17, 1965; children, Kimberly (Joe) Skaggs and James E. “Jimmy” (Jessica) Mourey III; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; father, Calvin Terrell; siblings, Danny (Ellen) Terrell, Eddy Terrell, Jackie (Allen) Wilson, and Joyce (Rex) Hoskins; sister-in-law, Nellie Terrell; several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol (Morris) Terrell; daughter, Shelly Hostetler; brothers, Mike Terrell and Scott Terrell; and sister-in-law, Debbie Terrell.A Celebration of life service will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, Indiana 46064 led by Preacher Harold White.A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Lahm Chapel.Memorial contributions may be made to Madison County Humane Society, 2219 Crystal St., Anderson, IN 46012 or Animal Protection League, 613 Dewey St., Anderson, IN 46016.
