Richard A. Wiley, 75, of Anderson passed away September 8, 2014 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after an extended illness.

He was born August 11, 1939, in Anderson, the son of the late Clyde and Josephine (Hall) Wiley and had resided in Anderson all of his life. He was retired from the Anderson Fire Department and was a former Safety Board Chairman.

Dick was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church the Knights of Columbus and had also served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his daughter, Tiffani (husband, Phil) Allen of Anderson; his son, Greg Morse of Anderson; five grandchildren, Erin Morse, Emilee Baugh, Seth Baugh, Jon Allen and Wyatt Allen all of Anderson; brother, Jim (wife, Clarice) Wiley of Anderson; sister, Patty (husband, Morris) Stigall of Frankton; brother, Mike (wife, Julie) Wiley of Florida; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Connie Weatherford of Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Wiley; brothers, Jack Wiley, John Wiley, & Francis Wiley; sister, Lucine McMillan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Walter officiating. Cremation to follow the service.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Mary Catholic Church.
