Mr. Richard P. Mckenney

Richard P. McKenney, 87, of Pendleton, IN passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 after an extended illness. Richard was born on August 13, 1934 in Fairland, IN to Arthur and Hazel McKenney.He worked as a Supervisor for General Motors for a number of years. Richard loved woodworking and created many beautiful pieces during his lifetime. He enjoyed farming and tending to his corn and soybean fields. Richard was known for helping others and would drop everything to help someone in need. Most importantly, he was dedicated to his family and made sure to put them first. Richard will be dearly missed by his sons, Terry (Linda) McKenney, David (Lisa) McKenney, and Kent (Donna) McKenney; his grandchildren, Jamie (Dennis) Prewozniak, Jeremy (Racheal) McKenney, Joshua (Justine) McKenney, Jason (Rebecca) McKenney, Alison McKenney, Benjamin (Breeanna) McKenney, Kasey McKenney, and Spencer (Victoria) McKenney; his great-grandchildren, Kadia, Chase, Kaylee, Ashley, Josiah, Austin, Wade, Caroline, Elizabeth “Ellie”, Rylee, and Sophie; his brother, Ronald McKenney; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 67 years, Carol Ann McKenney; his brother, Larry Joe McKenney; and his sister, Linda Lou McKenney.The visitation will be held on Monday, November 29, 2021 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State Street, Pendleton, IN 46064. The funeral ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. The burial will be at Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton.
