Richard Justo “Dick” Arnold

Richard “Dick” Justo Arnold, 77, of Anderson, IN passed away on January 8, 2024, surrounded by his family. Dick was born on September 20, 1946, in Anderson to the late William and Bernice (Hernandez) Arnold. He graduated from Anderson High School in 1965. Dick faithfully served our country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1969. Shortly after, he began working at General Motors on the production line before retiring. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and golfer. Dick loved NASCAR and was even given the opportunity to wave the green flag at the Daytona 500. He co-owned the Daleville Gun Club with his brother, where he was able to indulge his love of shooting. Dick was well known for his vegetable garden and loved spending time outdoors.

Dick will be dearly missed by his children, Richard Arnold and Casie (Jay) Thompson; companion, Julie Butler; step-daughters, Heather Dubuque and Cathy Garrison; grandchildren, Jeffrey Arnold, Holly (Casey) Arterburn, Richard Arnold, Ryan Childers, Rachel Hewitt, Riley Hewitt, Parker Miller, Amanda Cantrell, and Andrew Cantrell; great-granddaughter, Daisy Arterburn; nephew, William Arnold; and niece, Cathy Reels.

He was preceded in death by his parents; long-time companion, Nadean Hensley; and brothers, William Arnold and Bradley Arnold.

The visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Friday, January 12, 2024 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53^rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. The funeral ceremony will begin at 4 PM at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded after. Services have been entrusted to Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.
