Richard Elmer “Dick” Stacy Jr., 80, Anderson, passed away Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022, at his residence. He was born July 10, 1941, in Vanceburg, Ky., the son of Richard Elmer Sr. and Mary (Davis) Stacy. He was a 1959 graduate of Madison Heights High School and retired from Delco Remy after 30 years of employment. He was a member of Pendleton Christian Church and had been an avid bowler. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Linda (Dempsey) Stacy, whom he married July 3, 1980; a daughter, Tammy (husband, Bob) Talley of Anderson; three sons, Todd (wife, Debbie) Stacy of Knoxville, Tenn., Brian Turner of Indianapolis, and Derek Stacy of Anderson; two grandchildren, Jennifer (wife, April) Everitt of Anderson and Eric (wife, Morgan) Everitt of Anderson; two great-granddaughters, Brynlyn Everitt and Avery Everitt of Anderson; sisters-in-law, Sandy (husband, Dwight) Hess, Wilma (husband, Bob) Rhoads, and Janice (Nancy) Dempsey; lots of cousins; and his two four-legged babies, Maggie and Ricky. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Elmer Stacy Sr. on March 6, 1989; his mother, Mary Jewel (Davis) Stacy, on Jan. 20, 2018; son, Bradley Alan Stacy; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Beverly (Dempsey) and Charles “Charlie” Wilson; and fur-babies, Sparky, Winston and Sissy. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, with Michael Canada officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Pendleton Christian Church, 1170 S. Pendleton Ave., Pendleton, IN 46064.
