March 15, 1935 — August 24, 2019

Richard (Dick) Strock, of Anderson, IN, passed away peacefully on August 24th, 2019 at the age of 84. Returning home, he worked in the family business, Strock Brothers Hardware, eventually becoming co-owner along with his brother Phil, taking over from their father Earl and uncle Ira. Long-time Anderson residents remember Dick as being able to solve most any home repair problem. Dick retired from the hardware business in 1992, and then spent a number years working at the Madison County Community Justice Center. Dick and Carole were married in 1961, celebrating nearly 58 years of marriage. They loved and raised four children. Dick was known for his ability to build or fix anything, and his willingness to help anyone in need. He was quick with a joke, a laugh and always had a good story to share. Dick was a long time member of Central Christian Church, and was always willing to volunteer his time to help those in need. Dick is survived by his wife, Carole (Hurst) Strock of Anderson, IN, his four children, Bradley Strock and his wife Vicky, of Denver, NC; Jeffrey Strock of Fishers, IN, Gregory Strock and his wife Erika Cottrell of Bargersville IN; Rachel (Strock) Doba and her husband Scott of Indianapolis IN; brother Philip Strock and his partner Thomas Zeabart of McCordsville, IN; grandchildren Elliot Strock, Audrey (Strock) Lovetro, James Strock, and Atlas Strock; and many nieces and nephews.
