Richard D. “Dick” Main, 72, of Meridian, Mississippi, formerly of Pendleton, passed away June 3, 2016 at his home.
Richard was a Deacon at First Baptist Church in Marion, Mississippi and was a Freemason. He loved old cars and enjoyed going to car shows and working to restore them. He was also a member of two car clubs in Meridian. Richard retired from Delco Remy after 30 years. First and foremost, he loved the Lord and his family.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane Main; sons, Scott Main and Brent Main; grandchildren, Kandis (David) Stanley, Corey Main and Britny Main; four great-granddaughters; sister, Carolyn Chappell; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Jean Main.
A masonic memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2016 followed by services beginning at 2:15 p.m., with Reverend David Ashmore officiating at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, Indiana 46064. Burial will follow in Huntsville Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12 until 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Lahm Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to The American Cancer Society online at donate.cancer.org.
