Richard Albert Hall

Richard Albert Hall, 76, of Carmel, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville following an extended illness.

He was born on January 10, 1947, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Albert E. Hall and Ilene V. (Thompson) Hall.

Dick owned and operated his own painting company for many years. He enjoyed golfing, boating, and traveling. Dick was an avid colts fan and was an expert at silly "dad jokes". Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends whom he loved very much.

He graduated from North Central High School and furthered his education at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). Dick served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War.

Dick is survived by his wife, Deborah (Hooper) Hall, whom he married on June 27, 1970. He is also survived by two sons, Richard "Richie" Hall, of Carmel, and Corey (Amanda) Hall, of Westfield. Three siblings, Pam (Scott) Sedberry, of Spring, Texas; Joan Kelly, of Indianapolis; and Dan Hall of Indianapolis. Nine grandchildren; Brayden, Elizabeth, Corban, Rita, Gracie, Paityn, Braxton, Zayden, and Lawson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Randy Hall, and a niece, Moli Hall.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051, Pastor Jon Lowe with North Circle Church of Westfield will be officiating.

Burial will follow the funeral service at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel, where military honors will be performed by the United States Army, assisted by the Lapel American Legion Post 212.

Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with final funeral expenses.
