Ms. Rhonda Jo Shelley

Rhonda Jo Shelley, 64, of Markleville, passed on Saturday, March 3, 2018. She was born May 16, 1953 in Noblesville, Indiana. Rhonda was a homemaker who loved her children, grandchildren, family, and her animals. She was known for her pure heart, compassion, generosity, and being 100% selfless in every way. Rhonda enjoyed riding her bike, family gatherings, shopping on Friday and listening to music, especially Garth Brooks & The Beatles. She was vigilant about her neighborhood and liked to make sure everyone was ok. She kept her heart open and will be remembered for her contagious laugh and her beautiful smile that always reached her eyes. As Rhonda would say, “hang in there, gang. I love you, ALL of you.” She is survived by her children, James H. Shelley, Karen Shelley, Steven Shelley, Jeff (Casey) Shelley, Diana (Justin) Miller, and Rhonda L. (Brett) Shelley; parents, Robert & Laura (Eiler) Harless; grandchildren, Conlan, Veda, Madison, Jase, Makala, Ellaina, Mila, Raylan, Vivian, & Rigden; siblings, Bobby (Teresa) Harless & Susan (Darrell) Lane; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Hugh Shelley; granddaughter, Grace; sister & brother-in-law, Darla & Thomas Moon; and nephew, Chris Harless. Services will be at Noon on Thursday, March 8, at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Wilkinson. Burial will be at McCray Cemetery followed by a pitch-in at the Hardy building in Markleville. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7.
