Rhoda I. Branscum

Rhoda Irene Branscum, 82, of Middletown, passed away on June 20, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her family. Rhoda was born on October 12, 1940 in Delta, KY to the late Charles and Dicey (Tucker) Nevels. She married her loving husband, Frank Branscum, on September 8, 1958. The two were married for 57 years before his passing in 2016. Rhoda worked at Indiana Box on the assembly line and was an extremely hard worker. She was an avid gardener, both flowers and vegetables. She loved her dog, Blue, her chickens, and canning vegetables. She especially loved her home and was adamant she would never sell it. Most importantly, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Rhoda will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Lynda Johnson, Sasha Garrett, Michael Branscum, Francie Skinner, Adam Branscum, Luke Branscum, and Grace Branscum; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; sons, Roger, Ronnie, Randall, and Robert Branscum; grandson, Scotty Branscum; 3 brothers; and 4 sisters.

The visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, June 23, 2023 at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, 130 S. Main St., Wilkinson, IN 46186. The funeral ceremony will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 24, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial will be in McCray Cemetery.
