Rex Scott Lemasters

Rex Scott LeMasters, 61, of Lapel, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023.

He was born on October 27, 1962, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born to Richard and Margaret LeMasters.

He was a graduate of Plainfield High School and earned his bachelor's degree from Butler University.

He retired in 2019 from the Internal Revenue Service as a technology representative. He also taught tax law.

He was an avid Notre Dame football fan and always wore Notre Dame spirit wear. He enjoyed cycling and playing golf.

Rex is survived by his wife, Karen (Sartain) LeMasters; a daughter, Jessica Furstenberg; a mother, Judy LeMasters; five brothers, Richard Lemasters, Pete LeMasters, Kent Haggard, Jimmy Haggard, and Dave Johnson; a sister, Julie John; three nieces, Tiffany, Brittany, and Brianna; and several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Marcia LeMasters.

Cremation will take place with a private family memorial service to be held at a later date.
