Rex David Delph

Rex David Delph, 45, Lapel, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2009, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville following a five week illness.
He was born on December 15, 1963, in Noblesville, Indiana to Rex and Minnie (Hull) Delph.
David graduated from Lapel High School in 1982 and had attended Ball State University where he studied ancient languages.
He attended Prairie Baptist Church and was a member of the Native American Church of Indiana the Lakota Tribe for 10 years; he was a member of the Lapel Eagles Aerie 4323.
He is survived by his mother, Minnie (Hull) Delph of Lapel; his father Rex Delph of Mexico; two brothers, Jon Delph of Louisville, KY, and James Delph of Florida; two nephews, Damion Delph and Keinon Delph; one niece, Kaunnor Delph; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and special friends, Sherry and Shane Hagan of Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Robynn (Gasche) Delph and his son, Joshua Delph.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 5, 2009, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Jon Delph officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
