Rev. Irvin F. Johnson, 93, of Anderson, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis following a brief illness,
He was born on February 24, 1928, the youngest of 13 children, in Alden, New York to Earl Johnson and Clara (Hasfurter) Johnson.
Irvin graduated from Millgrove High School in Alden, New York. He later graduated from Practical Bible Institute in Johnson City, New York.
He retired from being a pastor in 1974 and began a new ministry called: TELL Ministries, Training Evangelistic Lay Leaders in witnessing.
Irvin lived his life for Christ. His objective was to preach the Word and to share his salvation with others.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Pearl (Kuehlewind) Johnson; two daughters, Ruth (Jim) Pletcher and Becky (Dick) Vannatta; ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Irvin was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, and his son, Rev. Nathan Johnson.
Private services are going to be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 N. Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051.
Burial will take place at Prairie Memorial Cemetery in Noblesville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
