Raymond J. Sacilowski, 90, of Anderson, passed away December 20, 2014 at Countryside Manor after an extended illness.
He was born April 4, 1924 to the late William and Helena Sacilowski in Anderson and has been a life long Anderson resident. He graduated from St. Mary High School and served in the U.S .Army during WWII in the Battles of Leyte and Saipan in the Pacific.
He retired from Delco-Remy where he was a small motor repairman.
Raymond was a member of St. Mary and St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Anderson Elk’s, Polish Lodge, V.F.W. and U.A.W. Local 662. He was avid golfer and bowler and loved to garden.
He is survived by his sister, Jean Rudolf and her families; two brothers, Tom Sacilowski and Jack Sacilowski; step daughter, Lana (Morgan) Worl and her families and step son, Mark Morgan and his families.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve (Morgan) Sacilowski; brothers, Stanley Sacilowski, Leon Sacilowski and Ed Sacilow; sisters, Helen Power and Mary Scherer.
The family wishes to thank Keystone Woods and Countryside Manor for all the special care given to Raymond.
Graveside services will 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Monsignor Robert Sell officiating.
Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 a.m. Tuesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary or St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
