Raymond Mitchell Sklebek

Raymond Mitchell Sklebek, 69, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 after an extended illness. He was born September 14, 1944, in Anderson to the late Mitchell Sklebek Sibert & Mary (Wood) Romine.

Raymond graduated from Anderson High School. He retired from General Motors Plant 11. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved fishing, camping and hunting.

He is survived by his children, Harry Wheatly, John Wheatly, Brian W. Nolton, Laura (Bruce) Reed and Shelly Welling; brothers, Leon M. (Pat) Sibert and Harry D. (Mary) Sklebek; grandchildren, James, Matthew, and Crystal Waymire, Ashlee Reed, Andrew (Amanda) Reed, Kylee and Krislyn Welling; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 26 years, Susan “Susie” (Painter) Sklebek.

Private services will be conducted by his son-in-law, Reverend Bruce Reed. Arrangements are entrusted to Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial will be at East Maplewood Cemetery.
