In 1973, Ram enlisted and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force until his Honorable Discharge in 1981 as a Staff Sergeant. After his discharge from the Air Force, Ram moved to Indiana and began his career as a Service Technician for NCR, until his retirement in 2017 after 36 years. Ram is survived by his lovely wife of 36 years, Rhonda Ramirez, whom he married October 19, 1985. Children: Michelle (Chris) Ray, Clayton (Stephanie) Sexton, Raquel Ramirez, and Dustin (Jamie) Ramirez. Grandchildren: Anabella, Jacob, and Lillyana Ray, Madison and Cooper Sexton, Sofia Basso, and Talan Ramirez. Sisters: Grace (Amador) Redner, Emma Lou Salinas. Brothers: Romeo (Sally) Ramirez and Alfonzo (Gloria) Ramirez Jr. Ram was proceeded in death by his parents Alfonzo and Lydia Ramirez, grandparents, sister Lupita (Humberto) Garza, brother-in-law Ramiro Salinas, and special young lady, Cassie Jo McCool, who he loved as a daughter. A great day for Ram was being with his wife Rhonda, grandchildren, and family. Ram loved traveling, being outdoors, working in his yard, and tending to his garden. He always looked after his family and was eager to lend a helping hand when needed. He loved to watch television, argue with gameshow contestants, and screen writers. He will be sadly missed by his wife, kids, grandchildren, family, and friends. Ram attended Bethany Christian Church for 33 years and was a member of the American Legion Post 0408 in Chesterfield. Services will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013 with Bob Bell officiating.
